whatConfidence

Like all d'ARTists, I was selected to become a part of the d'ART Center only after presenting samples of my work as well as interviewing with a panel of art experts. An invitation to join the Center is extended only after the multi-member panel agrees the submitting artist had reached a high degree of artistic proficiency.

whatBuy

Art is a powerful form of expression for artists as well as for those who own it. In a world where so many items are mass produced, original fine art is a very personal way to individualize your home, office and vacation spaces.

Art allows people to convey or demonstrate deeply held feelings and beliefs as well as moral, ethical, and political sentiments in socially acceptable ways.

An original work of art is not only visually appealing, but it also communicates the personality, abilities, creativity, inspiration, mind, and sometimes the genius of the artist who created it.

An original work of art reflects and often enhances the personality of the individual who owns it.

Art beautifies and personalizes environments. Art can transform private homes or places of business into personal museums.

Art makes people proud to live, work, and play where they do. They point to their museums, public monuments, and cultural institutions with pride.

whatGiclee

The word "giclée", (ZHEE-clay) as a fine art term, has come to be associated with prints using fade resistant "archival" inks and the wide-format printers that use them.

Artists tend to used the types of giclée printing processes to make limited edition high end reproductions of their original, two-dimensional artwork or photographs. Giclée style prints are much more expensive on a per-print basis than the traditional four color offset lithography process originally used to make such reproductions. Giclée style printing has the added advantage of allowing the artist to control every aspect of the image; its color, the substrate printed on, and even allows the artist to own and operate the printer itself. Because of this, giclée style prints can technically be called "prints", which is an image where the artist has a hand in the actual production.

Today giclées are commonly found in museums and art galleries. Like any original painting, fine art giclées should always be displayed away from the harsh rays of direct sunlight.

I have a limited number of signed giclées available. Please stop by my studio, or email, if you are interested in something!
