October 25 – November 23, 2008 Sunday, October 26; Opening Reception, 6:00 Small Works: Miniatures by Hampton Roads artists at Charles H. Taylor Art Center, Hampton, Virginia. Three hundred artists from throughout the region were challenged to create new pieces of less than thirty-six square inches. No small challenge there! Artists working in two dimensional media created six inch by six inch works while three dimensional works fit within a six inch cube. The resulting exhibition included over 300 pieces in virtually all media including drawing, painting, printmaking, watercolor, photography, sculpture, jewelry, fiber, ceramics and glass. |

These unique works of art were on exhibit and available for bidding in d'ART's Silent Auction through August 31, 2008. I was paired with Virginia Zoo Director Greg Bockheim.
